On 17.12.2013 the Committee adopted Klaus-Heiner Lehne's report on insolvency proceedings by 20 votes in favour, 1 against and 3 abstentions. The report supports the Commission proposal, which amends Regulation 1346/2000 and suggests clarifications and alignments of the text with the acquis.
The novelty as compared to the Commission proposal is the introduction of a far reaching and ambitious solution aimed at dealing with the insolvency of groups of companies.
