On 14 March, from 15.00 to 16.30, in room ASP 5E2, the JURI committee will held a hearing on the protection of vulnerable adults. This is a major issue, as there is an increasing number of mobile senior citizens within the European Union. Each Member State has a legal system in place to protect such persons, but there is no effective system to ensure that the protection remains in place following a move - or even during a temporary stay - in an other Member State.
